A couple requested an addition and renovation to their lakefront property that would express their passions for sailing and entertaining. The first floor was reorganized to create a flow of spaces, a new second floor contains a master suite and guest bedroom, and a three car garage was added to accommodate boat and equipment storage. The new lookout tower marks the main entry and organizes the circulation throughout the house. A screened porch bridges interior and exterior living, and shares a back-to-back wood burning fireplace with the living room. The use of cherry, slate, and copper blends the interior and exterior material palette, while the open plan and beautiful views reconnect one with lake and landscape.
