The dramatic sloping site and stunning lake views guided the design and spirited the addition and renovation. The original house had a strong central spine along which rooms were organized. The new stair addition interrupts this spine separating living spaces from bedrooms and creates views towards the lake. The wood beams and ceiling define the interior of the renovated kitchen, dining and living room. A concrete fireplace surround and oversized kitchen island are some of the many custom details which focus on family gathering. The original cramped and divided rooms are now spacious, full of sunlight and finished with natural materials.
