Once the queen of the most exclusive Minneapolis neighborhood, this neglected 1880’s Queen Anne style house had become an embarrassing blight. This created an opportunity to restore the house while highlighting renovation as the most effective “green” strategy. Architecturally delightful additions of a gracious front porch, family wing with turret, and 3 car garage maintain the dominance of the original building mass and features. Traditional living spaces flow into new, and then sweep upward to the second floor master suite. The new family wing features a custom double-helix stair spiraling up a turret to the roof deck and the Minneapolis skyline.
