Jen is a designer at Shelter Architecture currently in pursuit of her architectural license. Prior to studying architecture, Jen earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics at the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth. Her passion for creative problem-solving mixed with a desire to work in a field with direct community impact led her to architecture. Jen earned her Master of Architecture degree at Iowa State University in 2019 and soon after began her professional career with Shelter. Jen believes that good design adds value to people’s lives. Her analytical approach to finding design solutions is unique to the field. In addition to her studio work, Jen has helped to advance the office’s sustainable design goals by leading the research and energy modeling components of Shelter’s commitment to the 2030 Challenge.
