When the owners of Bent Paddle Brewing went in search of a place to call home they were drawn to the waters of Lake Superior and Duluth, Minnesota. When it was time to expand, water and outdoor adventure were the logical theme of their new taproom.

The design team repurposed an old furniture warehouse into a bright, colorful, watering hole for locals and tourists alike.  Waterfalls of blue tile at the bar draw guests in to sample craft beers. Huge sheets of rusted steel create a bar and fireplace to reflect Duluth’s steel industry history.  Cozy places to sit with friends can be found everywhere. Woven leather chairs surround ottomans by the fireplace. Curved leather benches envelope barrel-wood topped tables.  Benches and tables are custom inscribed with local waterways and hiking trails, and the taproom features a table with a map of the entire Boundary Waters Canoe Area so you can plan your next trip.  Details infuse the entire taproom with a playful Northwoods vibe.
