St. Paul Bungalow
The exterior and kitchen remodel of this single-family residence focused on enhancing functionality and aesthetics.
We gave this home an exterior refresh with a new, open gable roof section centered on the front door. White board and batten siding and flower boxes are complemented by yellow pine columns at the entry. Upgraded metal address numbers, a pendant light fixture, and landscaping leading up to the front door add modern touches.
Inside, the redesign of the kitchen involved a strategic shift of the stove to create more of a galley-style layout to optimize flow and storage solutions. We incorporated a mix of cream and light oak cabinetry to keep the space bright. Open shelving replaced the upper cabinets along the south wall, opening up the space and preserving natural sunlight from the two south-facing windows above the sink. Quartz countertops with patchworks of grays, whites, and cream extend seamlessly into a matching backsplash and elevate the space. A wood niche cutout with more open storage provide the family with space to display their glassware collection. Upgraded appliances, including a drawer microwave and double dishwasher, were also incorporated to refresh the space. Under-cabinet and recessed LED lights add more warmth and a cozy corner overhang serves as the perfect small seating area. The space is now as functional as it is visually pleasing.
