If you ever wandered into Fly Feet Running and mistook it for an apparel store, you’d have likely been forgiven—founder and owner Kristin Shane says it happened all the time.
Though Fly Feet did sell its own line of specialty running tanks, tees, sweatshirts and hats, it was first and foremost an exercise studio. The first location opened in downtown Minneapolis in November 2016 and Shelter helped design its second in Wayzata which opened in December 2017. Runners and non-runners alike quickly found much to love about Fly Feet, as the holistic approach to fitness, supportive coaches and encouraging environment made for an epic, one-of-a-kind workout.
Energetic green and yellow walls accented with wall murals reading catchy one-liners like, “One big endorphin party” and “Fly with us” brought the brand’s vibrant personality to life through its space and attracted a loyal following of fitness fanatics for years.
