This commercial office renovation was completed for the Malley Design team, an independent graphic design firm focused on brand identity and design, and also long-term collaborators and friends of Shelter’s. Malley Design needed a space that would allow them to channel their creative focus, collaborate cross-functionally, and eventually expand as their business and team grew.

This commercial office renovation was completed for the Malley Design team, an independent graphic design firm focused on brand identity and design, and also long-term collaborators and friends of Shelter’s. Malley Design needed a space that would allow them to channel their creative focus, collaborate cross-functionally, and eventually expand as their business and team grew.
The vision for the end product was a space that could serve as a backdrop for the Malley team’s projects, incorporating selections and materials that would inspire their own design work. They also wanted to increase the studio’s visibility within the building, so we created a storefront-like glass entrance at the front of the space, allowing passersby to catch a glimpse of the studio in action.
The interior design of the space centered on a black and white color palette with warm wood and leather accents, creating a sleek and modern aesthetic. A much needed conference room and kitchenette were added as well. The end result is a space that not only meets the studio’s functional needs but also inspires Malley Design’s creative process. With room to expand and a beautiful backdrop for their work, this independent graphic design studio is set up for success in their renovated space.
