It wasn’t until her side-gig started to gain momentum that she realized Token Jewelry could become her full-time focus.

Donning her handmade necklaces, earrings, and rings which she crafted in her free time, a hobby jewelry maker found herself fielding requests from friends, family, and coworkers hoping to buy her creations. It wasn’t until her side-gig started to gain momentum that she realized Token Jewelry could become her full-time focus.
Having grown to around 20 employees and a full-fledged business, it was time for Token to get a space upgrade. The previous storefront was simply too small for the team’s growing needs, and they wanted a space that was both functional and inspiring.
The owner envisioned a vibe that would capture the essence of the Southwest which she had always been drawn to. She wanted the store to feel warm and inviting, with a glowy, neutral palette. Ultimately, it was the details that made this concept come to life. The peach hue tile on the point of sale was handmade by one of Shelter’s own designers and incorporates color reminiscent of the sunset inspiration. The custom semi-circle door handle and wall cutout serve as another nod to the sun with a touch of whimsy and charm. The lime wash on the walls adds to the overall warmth of the space while large windows and 12 foot ceilings welcome in natural light. Globe lights also enhance the cozy ambiance. The shop’s exterior portrays a similar feeling where the building’s original iron columns are wrapped in warm-toned thermally modified wood.
Now, when customers enter the Token Jewelry storefront, they are transported to an inviting and aesthetic space. The owner’s original vision for the brand has come to life in that the store not only showcases the beautiful jewelry, but also reflects the heart and soul of the company.
